The New Berlin Public Library – the only library in New Berlin, Wisconsin – has announced that it will be hosting an “Eyes on the Sky” event.
The event will give registrants the opportunity to learn more about how to watch the sky, where to identify planets, and what equipment is needed to get a perfect view of the night sky.
The event will be hosted by a local expert, James Lattis. Dr. Lattis is the Director of the University of Wisconsin’s Space Place, an educational outreach program that he helped found. In that capacity, Dr. Lattis has become a local expert of all things space and astronomy. At this event, Dr. Lattis will help attendees observe and identify planets, locate certain evening sky features, and teach them how to identify astronomical events.
The event takes place at the New Berlin Public Library Community Room, which is located at 15105 Library Lane, New Berlin. It will take place on October 11 and runs from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Attendees do not have to bring their own equipment, but are more than welcome to if they so choose.
Attendees can arrive before the event starts and learn more about the services the New Berlin Public Library offers. They can pick up Books, Promotional Products, and check out which other community events take place in the library.
