Peach season brings pie-making class

An exclusive summer class gives baking enthusiasts from Cudahy and further afield a unique chance to learn peach pie creation from start to finish.

Valeri Lucks who serves as the co-founder and Chief Executive Pie Officer of Honeypie will direct The Baking with Honeypie Bakeshop. Participants will receive three hours of practical pie-making instruction during which they will have numerous chances to ask questions and get important tips from a highly respected regional baker.

Every summer the Tree Ripe Fruit Co. supplies fresh Georgia peaches to Honeypie Bakeshop. The availability of these peaches is limited to a brief time frame, which enhances the special nature of the timing of this class. The class will teach participants how to prepare multiple peach pie recipes using ripe peaches. Participants will learn essential pie-making techniques including how to make pie dough from scratch as well as work with fresh peaches to create perfect fillings. Branded equipment can be obtained through printing services.

The class will be held at the Honeypie Bakeshop Kitchen which is situated within Palomino. The ticket for this class provides all the materials needed to bake the pies. Attendance is limited to 12 people per session so that everybody feels properly engaged.

The Baking with Honeypie Bakeshop event will take place at the inviting Palomino Bar on South Superior Street in Milwaukee a few miles north of Cudahy on June 18th between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m.
