Jazz festival returns to Cudahy area

Music lovers in Cudahy can enjoy a versatile array of talent when an annual jazz festival returns to the area.

The Fresh Coast Jazz Festival is returning to Milwaukee in late August for a sixth year. This three-day festival will feature both local and national talent and give attendees a variety of entertaining venues in which to enjoy a unique American art form. As an added plus, festival proceeds will go to support school music programs, healthcare initiatives, and scholarships.

This festival is considered one of the country's best smooth jazz festivals. Some of the artists scheduled to appear include Jeff Lorber Fusion, The Braxton Brothers, Kayla Waters, Gerald Albright, and the Hometown All-Stars. Events for artists such as these are often promoted with poster printing.

Attendees can enjoy these artists in a number of performance settings. One of these is the Fresh Coast Cruise on the Edelweiss Harbor Lady. Participants can enjoy live jazz over lunch and have drinks from the cash bar, all while cruising by Milwaukee's beautiful coastline. The Pairing, another festival attraction, features a live concert for participants, coupled with a charcuterie and wine tasting.

The Fresh Coast Jazz Festival will occur from Thursday, August 21st, through Saturday, August 23rd. The primary venue is Pabst Theater, located at 144 East Wells Street, although some festival-related events are held in alternate locations. Prices on ticket tier packages vary from $70 to $130 and can be viewed at freshcoastjazz.com. Special events such as The Pairing and The Fresh Coast Cruise come at an additional cost.
