Halloween costume contest offers big prize
A yearly event promises to entertain residents in the Cudahy area who want a blend of music, creativity, and competition this Halloween.
The event is expected to attract a large crowd for what has become one of the city’s most famous Halloween costume contests. Hosted by X-Ray Arcade, the night will feature a selection of music from Dark Wave, Goth, and New Wave. The main event of the night is a costume contest with a large prize pool. Printing services can be used to decorate locations for such events.
To get into the event it costs $10 and every cent earned will directly be added to the prize pool for the contest. The organizers are aiming at surpassing last year’s prizes. In 2022, they were at $1,100 and then jumped to $2,000 in 2023. The goal is to have this year’s pool as large as possible thus urging people to come out in numbers. The prize money will be split among the three top contestants where first place gets 50%, second 30%, and third 20%.
This year’s competition will have no vote or judging panel but rather Dance Commandr, a person who is popular at these events, will select the winner.
HALLOWEEN SPOOKTACULAR 3 will take place from 9:00 PM to 1:00 AM and is open to attendees 18 years and older. The X-Ray Arcade will host the event, located at 5036 S. Packard Avenue near Cudahy, with the $10 cover charge contributing to both entry and the costume contest fund.
