Cudahy-area military base hosts community event

A military base near Cudahy is presenting its case to be the new home for advanced military hardware.

The 128th Air Refueling Wing (ARW) Community Council is arranging an event to support its bid. The base, situated at Mitchell International Airport, is among 15 additional military sites that aspire to accommodate the KC-46, a modernized air refueling tanker. This new aircraft has larger efficiency and capacity features which would enhance the capabilities of 128th ARW’s mission in Milwaukee.

This initiative is a chance for the 128th ARW, called Milwaukee's Hometown Airforce, to make its presence more visible. The objective of this campaign is to show community backing to those who make the decisions in Washington. Poster printing is one way that the public can show support for a cause.

Sponsorships from people who have an interest in the future of 128th ARW are requested. A fresh fleet might draw active-duty civilian workers, help raise local population figures, and support school systems.

Interested parties can RSVP by sending an email to Amanda at infossccwi@gmail.com before 12 pm on August 8th. Standard background Checks will be done for everyone who attends the event, and they will require full name, birth date, and the state of issue for driver's licenses.

The location is at the 128th Air Refueling Wing, near Cudahy. The event starts at 7:30 am on August 15th.
