Deep dish pizza chain to open Brookfield location
An Illinois restaurant chain known for its rendition of the state’s signature deep dish pizza has announced plans to open up a new location in Brookfield.
Lou Maltani’s Pizzeria is one of the Chicago area’s best-known local chains. It was founded in 1971 by the titular Lou, whose father Rudy helped to develop the now-common recipe for Chciago-style pizza, and is now run by his sons Marc and Rick. The chain currently runs 45 restaurants in the Chicago area and supplies deep dish to national chains. Recent expansions have seen it opening locations in Arizona, Indiana, and Fox Point, Wisconsin. The Brookfield restaurant will be the second in the state, and the first full-service restaurant, with the Fox Point location offering only delivery and takeout.
The Brookfield Lou Maltani’s will include an outdoor patio, full bar, and private party rooms. The restaurant will also be a boost to the local economy, with approximately 100 employees in the plans. The move is part of a larger push into the Milwaukee area, which could eventually see two to three full-service restaurants and several delivery stores. Local pizzerias and regional chains often use flyer printing and brochure printing to advertise, sometimes including coupons and delivery menus to encourage orders.
The Brookfield location of Lou Maltani’s will be located on West Bluemound Road, with an opening date to be announced.
