Brookfield trio to bring orchestral music to the local area
A group of music instructors from Brookfield have come together to spread a love of music across the area.
Siew Eng Goh, Benjamin Leon, and Anne Marie Paterson have decided to start up a new project. Their non-audition group will be called ‘The Wisconsin Intergenerational Orchestra’, and it will be open to people of all ages. All three have experience in teaching music, and they hope to give area musicians a chance to have some new experiences for themselves.
The trio will be holding an open house at the Wisconsin International Academy in Wauwatosa on February 2. Leon noted that the main goal of the evening will be to acquaint those who might have an interest in joining with what the orchestra is all about. Brochure printers can work with the organizers to produce materials for those who come out to give them more information about the musical group and how it will operate.
The plan is for there to be two different groups of musicians; one will be for beginners with little to no experience in playing with an orchestra, with the other for those who are at an intermediate or advanced level. The rehearsals will be scheduled for Tuesdays starting in mid-February, with an eye towards playing a full concert in front of an audience in May.
Anyone who would like to learn more is invited to visit the orchestra’s website.
