Brookfield makes good side of Best and Worst Cities list
Brookfield has gained some serious bragging right for its inclusion on WalletHub’s ranking of 1,267 small U.S. cities.
The personal finance website has recently published its yearly Best and Worst Small Cities in America, which is one of the site’s most popular annual rankings. Cities with populations ranging from 25,000 to 100,000 were scrutinized using 22 different metrics divided among four categories. In all, 1,268 cities were evaluated for affordability, education, economic health, and quality of life.
The city judged to be the best small city in the country was Princeton, New Jersey, with Littleton, Colorado coming in second followed by Dublin, Ohio. Brookfield achieved an impressive fourth place behind this trio.
Fifth place went to Leafwood, Kansas. Interestingly, while the best cities were scattered about the country, the 10 worst cities were concentrated in California.
Many of the criteria used for making the list would also interest families and businesses looking to relocate. When it came to affordability, Brookfield ranked 206 out of 1,268. The city’s poorest score was in quality of life, with a 248. Brookfield did better on its economic health scale, achieving 169, and its best score, the one will most likely to be passed along to printing companies for promotional purposes, is the city’s education rating, which was only bettered by seven competitors.
