Brookfield home to Fieri ghost kitchen
Superstar chef and TV host Guy Fieri has expanded his Flavortown Kitchen chain to Brookfield with a new delivery-only location.
The menu reflects Fieri’s outsized, indulgent approach to classic American cuisine, with items such as Jalapeno Pig Poggers, Mac Daddy Mac N Cheese, and Italian Stallion Salad. The location is the first Flavortown Kitchen in Wisconsin, and one of 24 across America. In addition to the chain, Fieri also lends his name to more upscale restaurants in Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and New York, as well as projects like a burger joint on cruise lines and a chicken sandwich shop in Orlando.
The new Brookfield location uses the “ghost kitchen” concept, meaning that it offers only food by delivery. The past years have seen a boom in food delivery, buoyed by private delivery services that operate through smartphone apps. Such restaurants make use of tools like flyer printing and webpages to get their menus to potential customers.
The chain is hoping to capitalize on Fieri’s viral public image, stemming from his fame on food-based series like Guy’s Grocery Games and Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives. Milwaukee was host to a “FieriCon” bar crawl in 2018, with dozens of men imitating the host, so the area may be ready to have Flavortown come to them.
