Seattle session to visit night-time hunters

Owls will be the stars of the show for a walk that will explore a Seattle area park on an evening in early June, and it will welcome the whole family.

Marine View Park will be visited by a group of birdwatchers who would like to learn more about owls and the role they play in the area's ecosystem. Naturalist Kevin O’Malley will share his expertise in an event that can accommodate all ages.

The group will gather at the meet-up point so they can take in a presentation, after which they will head out for an evening hike. Along the way, they will look for Signs of owls, and they will also listen for their calls. An owl pellet dissection will take place so the participants can learn more about their diet, and a discussion of tracking and other conservation will take place. Binoculars are not required, but sturdy footwear may prove helpful.

A walk or other outdoor activity provides an opportunity to learn about nature in the area. A flyer printing company can help by preparing items to hand out to the crowd, and they may be paired with promotional Pens.

This opportunity to visit some of Seattle's nocturnal hunters will begin at 7:00 pm on Friday, June 2. More information can be found on the activity’s online listing.
