Seattle session explores orchid care and culture

Thanks to improved cultivation techniques, orchids have become a lot more accessible to home indoor horticulturalists and a Seattle presentation will cover their care and culture.

Presenter Mike Cory, who is a local orchid expert, will share his love for these plants during the "Introduction to Orchids and their Proper Care” class. It will be on offer at Volunteer Park Conservatory, and it will include two full hours of learning.

Everyone who registers for the class will find out about the diverse range of species of these flowering plants, including their form and physical characteristics. Tips for providing them with suitable care and feeding will be shared, and everyone is welcome to bring up to three from their own collection. Mike will help the participants evaluate these orchids. Knowing how to properly report an orchid may be a valuable skill to have for those who enjoy these plants, and it will be demonstrated during the second portion of the workshop.

Orchids and other houseplants may require specialized growing techniques, and a class gives home horticulturalists an opportunity to learn these from an expert. Organizers can source a variety of printed materials, including informational handouts, Letterheads and promotional Pens, from a local Print professional.

This opportunity for Seattle orchid fans to pick up some new techniques will run from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm on March 14th. Tickets can be purchased through its Eventbrite listing.
