Seattle plant fans who have been hoping for a chance to add some new green friends to their collection will be able to do this during an activity that will bring out everyone's inner plant parent.
The Cascade Cactus and Succulent Society (CCSS) recently announced it will be welcoming the public for a sale. While they browse and buy, they will be able to meet CCSS members and learn more about the group.
The two-day event will provide a chance to score some species that are rare and hard to find in the trade. Cacti, succulents and other plants will all be in the mix, and there will be volunteers on hand to answer questions and offer advice. Tables of accessories and other gear will add even more value, and everyone is asked to bring a bag or box so they can carry home all their finds.
A pop-up market can be a good fundraising fit for a special interest organization such as a hobby group. They can partner with other not-for-profits, and a flyer printing company will be happy to help get the word out throughout the local area.
The CCSS has booked space at the Volunteer Park Conservatory for its annual sale on August 19 and 20. The items on offer will be rotated over the course of the weekend, so people may want to stop by often to see what has changed.
