Sewing is a skill that may be both fun and practical, and a Seattle area session will help to build a new crop of sewists.
Beginners and experienced needle queens and kings alike may find the Machine Sewing 101 class to be helpful. It will welcome registrants at the Shoreline Tool Library, and there are three different ticket tiers available.
The attendees will be able to use the venue’s sewing machines, and it will include an introduction to their various parts and what they do. They will learn about the different types of stitches and how and when they should be used, and thread tension and other issues will be discussed as well. Everyone will get in some practice, and they will go home with a PDF file of information as well as a stitch sampler. The activity is for those age 18 and up, and all of the tools and materials will be provided to the learners.
A workshop or class that offers an introduction to a topic can be a fun way for members of the public to get their feet wet. A flyer printing company will be pleased to lend a hand with promoting and activity throughout the local area.
Seattle REconomy has scheduled this introductory level sewing machine class for January 12th. It will take place at 16610 Aurora Avenue, North Shoreline.
