Seattle session to help community get waterwise
A location in North Seattle will soon play host to a session that will teach members of the community how they can become a lot smarter when it comes to conserving water.
The in-person “How to Get RainWise” workshop on the calendar for this March will be the place to be for anyone interested in sustainability and being kind to the environment. It will provide a friendly introduction to the RainWise initiative and how it may benefit them, and all are welcome.
During the workshop, participants will learn about the system in place to deal with storm runoff, and what steps they can take to help prevent it from being overwhelmed. Rain gardens and cisterns will both be discussed, and there will be a review of rebates and other incentives that may be available for area households looking to get involved. There will be several approved contractors on hand for the crowd to meet, and registration is free.
When organizing an information session, it may be a good idea to order plenty of handouts and other informative material well ahead of time. These can be prepared by stationery printers and include full-color photos and other graphics.
This chance for Seattle residents to become more waterwise has been planned for Tuesday, March 28. The venue will be released at a later date.
