Seattle Restaurant Week dishes up local fare

Hungry Seattle diners will have a feast of choices at this year’s Seattle Restaurant Week. Organizers of the twice-annual festival have decided to get cooking this fall with a festival that has more restaurants and more options for diners.

The festival gives diners the opportunity to sample the city’s best and finest restaurants at an affordable price of $20 for lunch and $35 for dinner.

The festival has teamed up with the Plate of Nations festival and has combined the participating restaurants into one event. The move allows this festival to showcase some of South Seattle’s best restaurants.

Also added to the choice menu is an option for pickup and delivery. The restaurant selection will also be categorized by ownership, helping those who want to support businesses owned by minorities, women, or LGBTQ+.

The festival takes place in the spring and fall. With these being traditionally slow times in the restaurant industry, it is hoped that proceeding with a socially distanced version of the event this year will help boost sales and revenues.

There is also a charitable element to this year’s festival too, where diners can choose to purchase a meal to be given to people in need in the community. Restaurants participating in events such as this one can have special Menus printed at their local Print shops.

Seattle Restaurant Week runs from now until Saturday, November 21.
