The modern and the traditional will combine to celebrate one of the oldest continuous civilizations in the world next month.
The Seattle Iranian Festival welcomes everyone, Iranian or otherwise, to a free and fun day filled with tea, food, dancing, and music.
This is the 14th year for the event, put on in part by the Iranian American Community Alliance (IACA). Founded in 2005, the IACA is a non-profit, non-political and non-religious organization formed to build a bridge between the American and Iranian communities.
The seeds of the organization, and the festival, were sown by Ali Ghambari, who wanted a grassroots organization to keep Iranian culture alive and well for the future generations of Iranian-American families. The IACA was born, which organizes the festival every year, but also supports other events and programs.
The festival is part of the ongoing free festival program at the Seattle Center, dubbed Seattle Center Festál. It consists of 23 free, ethnic cultural festivals put on throughout the year. Brazil, Poland, China, and Africa are just some of the cultures represented throughout the year.
The festival is still looking for more vendors, sponsors and volunteers. Organizers of events such as this one can use local printing services to create Banners and Signs featuring the logos of event sponsors.
The Seattle Iranian Festival is scheduled for Saturday, June 22 at the Seattle Center, 305 Harrison Street in Seattle.Get a Free Quote for Signs Get a Free Quote for Banners
