Big Brothers Big Sisters of Snohomish County are inviting everyone to their upcoming “Igniting Potential” Dream Builders Auction. Big Brothers Big Sisters has been helping children for over 100 years. The organization believes that every child has it in themselves to succeed.
Big Brothers Big Sisters supports children by matching youngsters (“Littles”) with volunteer adults (“Bigs”) in monitored relationships that create positive experiences for the children. Having a role model can make a significant impact on a young person that lasts for their entire life.
The organization takes responsibility for making sure that all children in their program have success in their educational endeavors, learn to avoid risky behaviors, and have the tools to create better relationships, have greater confidence, and higher aspirations.
The event is scheduled for November 19 at the Lynnwood Convention Center on 196th Street SW. The doors will open at 5:30 pm, with the live auction and dinner to follow at 7:00 pm. An online silent auction will run from 12:00 pm on November 14 until 12:00 pm on November 20. Tickets are $110 single admission, or $200 for a couple. The cost for a table is $1,000. People are encouraged to donate items to the auction. Events like these often draw attendees who share the same goals, making them perfect places to network with others and exchange Business Cards.
