An upcoming show in Lynnwood will appeal to people in the area who appreciate talented crafters.
The Stray Threads Quilt Guild has just announced the 2025 Quilt Show. Guild members will be displaying their quilts, vendors will be present, and there will be special demonstrations. Posters are a traditional method for advertising events like this, which organizers can find at Print shops.
Much of the fun of the event will be listening to presentations from quilting experts. The speakers announced thus far include Darlene Girton of Featherweight Renaissance, a small shop that helps repair Singer Featherweight machines, holds quilting classes, and more.
Next is Linzie Crofoot, an enrolled member of the Tlingit and Haida Tribes of Alaska and an Indigenous educator. She will discuss “Indigenous Connections through Textiles.”
The third speaker is Lisa Mortell, a teacher, quilter, and designer who will discuss applique techniques. The last presentation will be by quilt designer Cole Whitaker.
Vendors will also be on site. These will include Stray Threads Boutique, Cathy Kind of Treehouse Studio, City Vacuum and Sew Center, Pacific Rim, Quality Sew and Vac, Grotto Girl, Troublemaker Bags, Quilting Mayhem, and Ps & Qs Quilting.
The Quilt Show 2025 is scheduled for April 4 and 5, at the Lynnwood Event Center, 3711 196th Street SW. Parking is free, and the center is accessible to everyone. The show is open both days from 10.00 am until 5.00 pm.
