An event in Lynnwood will bring the entire community together to celebrate their city.
The Lynnwood Civic Campus will be the site of the Community Open House, giving residents a chance to learn about the latest developments in the city. Representatives from several city departments will be on hand to answer questions about volunteer opportunities, services provided by the city, and upcoming major projects. This will give residents a chance to share their input directly with local government officials.
Other agencies attending include the Sno-Isle Libraries, and South County Fire, which is a regional fire authority established by the City of Lynnwood and voters in the county in 2017. South County Fire is the largest provider of EMS and fire services in Snohomish County.
The event includes a chance to look at planned city events, refreshments including light bites, a chance to win prizes, family activities, and the popular Touch-a-Truck station. Touch-a-Truck events are held throughout the country, though each one is different, depending on what kind of equipment is used by the municipality. Most of the demonstrations include fire trucks, police cruisers, ambulances, and sometimes helicopters. People can sit in the vehicles and learn how they operate.
The Lynwood Civic Campus is located at 19100 44th Avenue West, and the event is May 6, from 5.00 pm until 7.00 pm. When they plan events such as this, organizers will often use banner printing to create fun decorations for the venue.
