Lynnwood, like many other communities, is full of music this summer, and another event is coming up soon.
CELEBRATE! gives everyone a chance to enjoy wine, beer, food, and music during a warm summer night. The venue is the Alderwood Mall Terraces, where people will find a beer garden, wine, and food trucks from the local area. At the upcoming event, music will be provided by the ABBAgraphs, the Jewel Tones, and Afton Prater.
As the name implies, the ABBAgraphs, based in Seattle, share their renditions of ABBA’s classic chart-topping hits like “Mamma Mia,” “Waterloo” and “Dancing Queen.”
The Jewel Tones present their “Motown Magic” set, where the three women bring back the magic of girl groups like the Supremes and Martha & the Vandellas.
Afton Prater is a rising country star who started playing the guitar when she was eleven. She grew up listening to her grandparents’ favorites, such as Elvis Presley and Johnny Cash, and her parents’ idol, Bruce Springsteen. She says some of her biggest influences have been the women in country music, such as Dolly Parton.
People are invited to CELEBRATE! on Friday, July 7, from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. The Terraces are on 33rd Avenue West. When organizers want to advertise events like this, they can consider using flyer printing to create handouts to distribute in the local area.
