Lynnwood comes together to raise funds for building

A fundraising event for one of the nation’s most effective humanitarian organizations is planned for Lynnwood.

Raise the Roof 2024 will benefit Habitat for Humanity of Snohomish County. The upcoming fundraiser is specifically to benefit a current building project ongoing in the Bayside area of the city of Everett. Money raised will also go to support vital home repairs as well as future building projects.

Event organizers are also gathering items that will be available in the silent auction, or placed in gift baskets. The baskets and auction are important aspects of the event, and have proven to be instrumental in its success.

The organizers say they expect approximately 200 people to attend, and have set a goal of raising $50,000. They also anticipated that the event would increase awareness of the organization for about 1,500 people, even if they do not attend.

Habitat for Humanity increases the stability of local communities by building homes, making critical repairs, advocating for those in need, and encouraging volunteers to take part in an outstanding cause. The organization was founded by Linda and Millard Fuller in 1976 with the idea of building or repairing homes for struggling families, using volunteers to do the work. It is now a worldwide organization with operations in over 70 countries.

Raising the Roof 2024 is scheduled for September 21, from 5.00 pm until 8.00 pm, at the Lynnwood Event Center. When they plan events like this, organizers will often use poster printing to create advertisements for them.
