The City of Federal Way is partnering with Advancing Leadership and the Federal Way Diversity Commission to host a multi-cultural festival, the “Flavor of Federal Way”. This is the first year for the event, which will celebrate the city's amazing diversity.
Federal Way has one of the Puget Sound's most diverse populations, and the festival will bring together the sights and sounds—and tastes—that make the city such an intriguing place to work, play, and live. The festival is free, family-friendly, and will feature live entertainment, food vendors, and activities for the children. In addition, exhibitors will be on hand with information about potential employment; access to health care; and available educational and financial services. There will be a variety of other resources present, from craft makers to area non-profit organizations.
Some of the organizations participating in the festival are non-profits like the King County Library, and the Performing Arts Coalition; food vendors such as East Indian Grill, and Pho Tasty; vendors Curves, and Trader Joe's; and performers like TBHS Dance Team, and The African Boys.
The festival's goal is to experience and celebrate the variety of people from throughout the globe who live in the area, by coming together and learning about one another and their respective cultures.
“Flavor of Federal Way” will be held from 11 am until 5 pm, in Town Square Park, on August 18.
Organizers of events like this can use flyer printing to help attendees find specific exhibits.
