A shopping event for parents is taking place in Federal Way next month.
JBF Seattle is holding a Kids' Consignment event soon, and inviting new parents to shop early. Those whose first child was born within the last 12 months, or parents who are expecting, are being invited to shop early, before the event opens to the general public. Parents who are expecting, or who have just had, their first child may bring one guest to the presale, though the guest will be asked to pay a small fee. Parents are admitted free; however, those who have attended previous sales as a First Time Parent will not be allowed to shop early.
Shoppers will find merchandise from 50% to 90% off retail prices, thanks to the more than 300 families who are expected to sell their items. Among the products will be high chairs, swings, bedroom décor, children's electronics, puzzles, toys, games, nursing and maternity items, children's clothing ranging in size from infants to teens, and more.
The venue is the former Sears at the Commons Mall. The private presale takes place March 4, starting at 5:00 pm. The hours for the general public to shop are March 5, from 10:00 am until 7:00 pm; March 6 and 7 from 10:00am until 7:00pm; and March 8, from 8:00am until 2:00pm, when merchandise will be half-off. The friend's fee is $2. Flyer printing can be used to create handouts listing where to find products at this type of event.
