Fans of sushi now have a new place to try when they start craving their favorite seafood.
Trapper's Sushi Company recently opened a new store in Federal Way, the ninth spot for the chain in the State of Washington. The company's CEO, Trapper O'Keeffe, said the organization had its eye on Federal Way for a long time, and recently, the timing was right to open the location. Not only that, but Trapper's Sushi also moved its corporate office to Federal Way, because the city offers the company a location central to all of its stores, which will help it grow in the future.
Trapper's Sushi also has franchises in Puyallup, Covington, Bonney Lake, Kent Station, and more. The chain serves Asian-fusion sushi dishes, but also creates specialty sushi dishes and names them after the location of the shop. For instance, diners can order a “Bonney Lake,” a dish composed of crystal shrimp and fried cream cheese, with hot sauce and spicy crab; or a “Puyallup,” made of cream cheese, avocado, and salmon, fried in tempura, and then topped with green onion and special sauce. There's no word yet on what the “Federal Way” will be, but company spokesperson Jaysin Reyna says the company does hope to name a roll after each store.
