Summer in many cities means music in parks and other outdoor venues, and Federal Way also has a similar tradition.
Steel Lake Park is the setting for the Summer Sounds Concert Series, which begins soon. All of the events run from 7.00 pm until 8.00 pm, so that families can bring children and not have them out too late. Attendees should also feel free to bring a picnic, and enjoy a meal on the grass.
The first concert features Harmonious Funk, and is scheduled for July 8. The band is based in Lakewood, Washington, and combines old-time soul and rhythm and blues with newer sounds in the same genres.
On July 15, BroHamM takes the stage. The six-piece R&B outfit includes the three Hammond Brothers, hence the name. Together, the ensemble has decades in the music business.
Kry is next up, appearing on July 22, and on July 29, it is Chrome Molly's turn to fill the night with music. Chrome Molly hails from Leicester, England, and plays hard rock. They have four albums to their credit, and are considered part of the new wave of heavy metal bands in Britain, a label associated with bands that came to prominence in the years 1979 to 1981.
Steel Lake Park is at 2410 South 312th Street, and the concerts are free. Banner printing can be used to create decorations for outdoor venues like this.
