The upcoming winter holiday season is fast approaching, and Federal Way has organized a special event to welcome its arrival.
In early December, the city will be switching on its holiday tree, and the public is invited to join in the celebration. The event will run for three hours, and there is no fee being charged for anyone who’d like to attend.
The function, which will be suitable for the young and the young at heart, will be held in Town Square Park. Festive music will be playing, and everyone can enjoy a cup of hot cocoa and some cookies while they mingle with their friends and neighbors. When the Mayor throws the switch, the tree lights will go on, and to add even more fun to the day, Santa has made plans to stop by in person to preside over the celebration.
Many communities host special events during the holiday season.
