Everyone interested in painting for fun has an event for them in Federal Way.
Cork and Canvas Events has organized a “Sunflower & Dahlia Bouquet” painting party at Abbe Vineyard Winery. These types of parties see people gather at a pleasant location where they work with an instructor to create a work of art to take home. The subject of the upcoming event is a bouquet of dahlias and sunflowers – mostly vibrant yellows and reds – in a glass vase. Organizers of events like this can use flyer printing to create instruction sheets for students.
The fee includes easels, aprons, brushes, all painting supplies, and step-by-step instruction. Attendees are asked to bring masks and wear them when they arrive and leave. Organizers will send emails to attendees before the event providing additional information about the health protocols in place at the time. Attendees are expected to adhere to the guidelines.
The event is set for September 22. Check-in is at 6:00 pm, and the painting class itself will run from 6:30 pm until 8:00 pm. The venue is the Abbe Vineyard Winery, which will have wine available for purchase. The winery was established in 2009 and sells several varietals including cabernet sauvignons and a viognier. There are no refunds available for this evening, but anyone who cancels at least 24 hours ahead can move to a different class.
