Federal Way has a reputation for being a community that knows how to have a great time, and it has plans in the works for a special Halloween-themed activity.
The city has set the date for its first Pumpkin Plunge, which is geared towards area families. It will offer the experience of a pumpkin patch in a pool, and there are two timeslots available.
The activity will be held at the Federal Way Community Center, and each attendee will be able to go for a swim while they choose their pumpkin from the ones floating in the pool. Each session will have enough spots for 75 participants, all of whom will get to take their pumpkin home with them.
For the safety of the swimmers, kids aged four and under will need to have a parent with them while they are in the water. Tickets are $12 for adults and $10 for youth. Marketing materials for an inaugural community event can be prepared by area poster printing companies, which will also be able to craft Promotional Products to hand to the crowd.
This floating pumpkin patch will be set up at the Center on Friday, October 19, and those who are interested can choose from a 12:00 pm and 3:15 pm start time. The organizers can be reached at 253-835-6900.
