Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium's animal residents will be offered lots of special Halloween-themed enrichment this year, and Federal Way residents are invited to share the experience.
The zoo has plans in the works for its Zoo Boo celebration, and it will be filled with activities that will offer both animal enrichment and an opportunity for patrons to learn more about the creatures and plants that call it home. This is included with admission and membership, and everyone who plans on attending the festivities is welcome to wear a costume.
Many of the activities provided will involve a pumpkin, as well as extra fall treats. A costume parade will take place, and the touch tanks, goat meet and greet area, and other parts of the zoo will sport seasonal decor. The facility has even crafted carving templates that have a wildlife theme for the public to use when preparing their own jack-o-lanterns.
