For the past 10 years, Federal Way has offered families an opportunity to attend a special event, and this experience will make its return in Spring 2024.
The community is presenting its Touch A Truck Day, and since this will be its 10th anniversary, the organizers will be pulling out all the stops. As in the past, it will be free of charge, and the venue for the occasion will be the parking lots at Wild Waves Theme and Water Park.
Families who come out will be able to view and touch an assortment of vehicles that will be rolling in. There will be law enforcement and first responder cars and trucks, and military vehicles will also be parked on site for the crowd to explore. Guests can climb in and on dump trucks as well as other construction and utility equipment, learning how they are used to keep the city humming along. The kids can honk horns, talk to the operators, and just plain have fun over the function’s four-hour running time.
A community event like this may be fun, but keeping it organized may be a trickier affair. Print shops can lend a hand by supplying signage and other printed items, as well as small Promotional Products to offer to the attendees.
Federal Way will see its Touch a Truck Day roll into the community on Saturday, May 11. It will kick off at 10:00 am.
