Federal Way dives into autumn

A fun event that welcomes autumn is coming to Kent, a short distance from Federal Way.

The Kent Downtown Partnership is the host for the Street of Treats, which takes place in Historic Downtown Kent. The event is aimed at children, but everyone is invited to take part, and is encouraged to wear costumes, as there will be a costume contest with a prize. In addition, merchants in the downtown will be open during the evening, and those stores participating will be handing out treats to visitors.

In addition, the partnership has activities and projects specifically for youngsters planned, along with opportunities for photos, as well as face painting. The Street of Treats is free for everyone, but people should remember to bring along a weatherproof bag to hold the goodies they collect.

The Kent Downtown Partnership is comprised of business owners and community leaders who promote the opportunities available in the city's downtown. The organization recognizes the efforts of those who have come before, and invites new people to join.

The event is scheduled for October 24, from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm, at Penguin Park. Although the event is free, those interested in attending are asked to register. Banner printing is a good choice for creating decorations for outdoor events like this, because it will stand up to any weather conditions.
