Halloween is not far away, and the season will bring a special afternoon of fun for kids in the Federal Way area.
The city of Auburn will be offering thrills and chills during its annual Harvest festival and Trunk or Treat. While it is intended for families with youngsters from the ages of 2 to 10, everyone is welcome to stop by.
Les Gove Park will be all decked out with creepy decor, and the little ones can try their hand at the games, enjoy a glass of punch from one of the cauldrons, and show off their best dance moves to the music. Local vehicle owners, businesses and organizations will have cars parked on site so they can distribute treats such as candy and small Promotional Products to the crowd.
In keeping with Halloween tradition, the guests at the function are invited to attend in costume, although they are asked to keep their attire family friendly. Prizes will be awarded for costumes and the best decorated trunk will also be recognized with a special presentation.
This afternoon of trick-or-treating in a safe and friendly atmosphere has been scheduled for the afternoon of Saturday, October 29. Families looking for fun can drop by Les Gove Park from 1:00 pm until 5:00 pm to be a part of the festivities.
