A community service day will give a Federal Way area community some attention, and everyone is welcome to take part.
Those who roll up their sleeves and pitch in with Green Tacoma Day will be doing a good turn for its green spaces, and there are a variety of hands-on projects to choose from. Everyone from individuals to families, colleagues, school groups, and anyone else who would like to lend a hand is welcome. At the end of the day, they may feel a sense of satisfaction from getting involved in environmental stewardship.
The registrants will take part in activities ranging from the removal of invasive weeds and habitat restoration to litter pick up and tree planting. Kids are welcome so long as they are accompanied by an adult, so it offers an idea for a family outing. The exact locations where the work will take place will be determined in the near future.
Hands-on service projects may also be community builders, and Stationery printers can offer a variety of ways to thank the volunteers for their support. These include certificates of appreciation, as well as T-Shirts and other Corporate Gifts.
Green Tacoma Day will be showing Mother Nature some love on October 8. Anyone who would like to bring along a large group to help out is asked to call 253-363-2439 to discuss making arrangements to accommodate this.
