Ronald McDonald House to host event in Norfolk

The Ronald McDonald House Charities of Norfolk will be visiting the Virginia Zoo for an annual event.

Red Shoe at the Zoo is a family-friendly program where attendees can enjoy a day’s worth of fun at the zoo while supporting families with sick children. The event will include a day’s admission to the Virginia Zoo and a special lunch at the zoo’s Pavilion. There will be food trucks present serving lunches, and parents will have the option of getting wine or beer with their meals. Guests can play games next to the Pavilion, and children aged 12 and under can take part in a costume contest.

Companies wanting to give back during the Red Shoe at the Zoo event can become a sponsor. The tiers range from $500 to $10,000. There are several benefits for businesses in these packages, including recognition of the sponsor on social media, drink tickets for guests during the event, and reserved parking at the fundraiser. Store owners who want their logos to be represented on the volunteer T-Shirts can pay $3,500.

The event at the zoo will be held on Saturday, October 7th from noon to 3:00pm. Tickets for the experience will cost $45 for adults and $15 for kids 5-12.
