The 6th annual Chartway Norfolk Harbor Race Weekend will be held this November throughout Norfolk.
Bon Secours in Motion will be presenting the Chartway Norfolk Harbor Race Weekend, an athletic event where people can enter races of varying distances. The weekend will include a half marathon, 10K, 5K, and a kids’ mile. All participants who finish their races will be given a finisher medal that doubles as a bottle opener. There will be a post-race party where attendees can listen to live music.
There will be various activities held during the racing weekend, including a two-day expo dedicated to sports and fitness. Those who register for a race and are of legal drinking age can have up to four beers from the Blue Moon Brewing Company. Over 20 mermaids will be visible throughout the course that racers can try to locate. Organizations that host events such as this can create promotional Pens to hand out as a gift to those who attend.
The 6th annual Chartway Norfolk Harbor Race Weekend will be held on November 23 and November 24 starting at 7:00 am. Those who want to compete in the half-marathon can register for $100, while racers in the 10K can pay $65. People who are interested in supporting the event as volunteers can sign up online either as an individual or group.
