The Benchtop Brewing Company in Norfolk will hold a festival in March to honor one of its favorite beer styles.
Maillard Fest is an event where those over 21 may try unlimited samples of malt-driven lagers. Several breweries will take part in the celebration, such as Good Word Brewing & Public House, the Bond Brothers Beer Company, and Barrique Brewing and Blending. Each drink offered at the event will have under 5.5% alcohol content. Bar-Q will sell food at the festival, and attendees can enjoy live music at the venue.
Benchtop Brewing is a business owned and operated by Eric and Talia Tennant. The brewery has won several Golden Tap Awards from Veer Magazine. Many charitable organizations have become community partners with Benchtop Brewing, like the Hope House Foundation, The Millers Foundation, and the Elizabeth River Trail Foundation. The brewery also uses sustainable practices like using motion-activated lights and replacing their throwaway cups with reusable cups.
The festival will be on Saturday, March 2 from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm. General admission to the fest is $35, which includes a commemorative mug. VIP tickets to the event are $60 per person. Those who are VIPs will receive a sandwich and side from Bar-Q and early admission to the fest. Brewing companies that host similar events can give Promotional Products to their attendees as branded take-home gifts.
