One of the co-owners of the Push Comedy Theater in Norfolk will be holding an improv workshop in April.
Improv 101 with Brad McMurran is a multi-session workshop where students can improve their improv skills with the help of an experienced comedian. No acting or comedy experience is necessary to take part in the course. Participants in the program will learn about Chicago-based long-form improv and will discover the fundamentals of ‘Yes, And.’ The instructor for the course is the founder of The Pushers Sketch and Improv Comedy Troupe and the co-head writer of the theater.
The Push Comedy Theater is an entertainment venue that was co-founded by Brad McMurran and Sean Devereux. The business hosts several kinds of events, such as improvised Dungeons and Dragons shows, roast battles, and murder mystery performances. The improv workshop will start on April 4th and will be held each Tuesday for six weeks. The lessons will last from 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm. The cost to take part in McMurran’s course is $225 per person.
