Norfolk camp to teach kids improv skills

The Push Comedy Theater in Norfolk will bring back its five-day improv summer camp for beginners this July.

The Push Comedy Theater Improv Summer Camp is a program where kids ages 11-15 can learn performance skills from experienced teachers. The camp provides children with a safe and non-judgmental environment to practice the skills they learn and build their confidence. There will be a graduation show held at the end of the improv class where students can showcase their skills to their friends and family. No previous experience is necessary to take part in the camp.

The theater is a performance venue in Norfolk’s Arts District where people can watch live stand-up and improv shows. Many events are held here, including Date Night at the Push Comedy Theater and Pushing Dragons: An Improvised Dungeons and Dragons Adventure. The venue also offers classes such as Improv 101 with Brad McMurran and Improv 201. Guests can purchase hot dogs, beer, and other snacks at the theater’s concession stand.

The improv summer camp will be held from Monday, July 15th to Friday, July 19th. The cost to participate in the theater’s courses will be $225 per student. The camp sessions last from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm. The theater offers another summer camp for kids ages 8-11. Businesses that host similar experiences for children may use flyer printing to promote their activities.
