Norfolk brewery to debut new beer with breakfast event

Smartmouth Beer in Norfolk will hold a community party in January to debut its newest beer flavor.

Breakfast of Champions is an event where people can celebrate the release of Smartmouth Beer’s latest beer, the Blueberry Maple Stout. Several activities will be at the party, including meetups for the Norfolk Cycle Sisters and Norfolk Run Club.

Many small businesses will have pop-ups at the brewery, such as Vessel and O’s Donuts. Attendees can order breakfast specials from vendors like Ghost Kitchen and JMT Vegan Eats. Live entertainment will be provided by the Band of Consenting Adults. Vendors that take part in local festivals such as this may use banner printing to draw more attention to their brand and contact information.

Smartmouth Beer is a brewery and community event venue that opened in 2012. The business started in Norfolk and has since expanded to Virginia Beach. Many activities are held at the company, like Wheelie Good Wednesdays, Smartmouth Trivia Night, and Service Industry Night. The venue also hosts marketplaces and group yoga sessions. The brewery donates $3 per barrel to local nonprofit groups and actively participates in the Virginia Green program.

The party will be held on Sunday, January 28th from noon to 4:00pm. There is no cost to attend the brewery’s beer debut, and all ages are allowed to visit the venue. Registration is also not required for the Breakfast of Champions.
