Norfolk residents recently headed downtown for three days of music, food, and fun.
The 26th Bayou Boogaloo Music and Cajun Food Festival was set to feature a wide variety of bands, such as Hurray for the Riff Raff and Big Sam’s Funky Nation.
Cajun chefs were also cooking up a storm, with a number of them having featured previously on television. Guests were able to try authentic New Orleans’ fare such as crawfish, jambalaya, alligator sausage, beignets, and more. By watching one of the cooking demonstrations, attendees could also take home some cooking secrets.
Along with food and music, individuals were able to check out the Arts Market of New Orleans, where unique art was on display and for sale. Copper, wood, and other mediums would have been used in the art.
Tickets were $10 or $20 for a weekend pass. However, from noon until 4:00pm on the festival’s first day, the event was free.
Poster printing is often utilized to promote large events such as this one. As such, Signs could have been hung up in high-traffic areas around Norfolk.
It all took place on June 19th from noon until 4:00pm, with an evening session from 5:00pm until 10:00pm. On June 20th, it lasted from noon until 10:00pm, and June 21st saw festivities from noon until 6:00pm.Get a Free Quote for Signs
