The 10th annual Spring Town Point Virginia Wine Festival is taking place in Norfolk over one weekend next month.
The festival will feature the products of over 25 Virginia wineries. There will also be seafood and gourmet food to enjoy, provided by some of the area's best restaurants. Guests will have to opportunity to sample a wide variety of wines by purchasing tasting tickets. There will also be live musical entertainment throughout the weekend.
Vendors will be on hand to sell items such as hand-painted martini and wine glasses, clothing, handmade jewelry and official festival merchandise.
The culinary advisor for this event is Chef Patrick Evans-Hylton, who will be holding four ‘somm-inars’. The topics of these talks include an introduction to wine tasting and the wine pairings that work best with seafood.

The Spring Town Point Virginia Wine Festival will be held at Town Point Park from May 7 to 8. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the gate. Tasting tickets on Saturday cost $30 in advance on Saturday or $35 at the gate and Sunday $25 in advance or $30 at the gate; this comes with a souvenir wine glass.
