Event will serve up award-winning barbecue

The 4th annual Ribtoberfest and Southern Foodways festival is taking place next month in Norfolk.

The event will feature food provided by several award-winning barbecue chefs from some of the city’s best restaurants. The chefs will be competing with each other for best overall restaurant.

As in past years, a number of vendors will be selling merchandise, all of which is made entirely in Virginia. There will also be live musical entertainment throughout the afternoon. The list of performers has not been released for this year yet, but last year featured such musicians as Bobby “Black Hat” Walters and Bryan Dunn.

Guests can purchase a beer sampling package for $20. This includes 10 tasting tickets, a wristband, and a souvenir glass. The barbecue competitors will also be offering samples of their food for purchase.

Fans of great barbecue and craft beer will no doubt be excited about an event such as this. With that in mind, organizers may have invested in flyer printing services from a favorite Norfolk printing company.

The Ribtoberfest and Southern Foodways festival will be held at Town Point Park in Norfolk on September 24 from 12:00 noon to 8:00 PM. Admission is free of charge. To get the most up-to-date information about this event, such as the entertainment schedule, check the official event website.
