Conference to focus on women-owned businesses

The Women in Business Conference will take place next month in Hampton. It is a presentation of the Small Business Development Center.

The conference is for those women who own small businesses or who are just starting their own companies. They will hear from many women who have had experience running their own business.

Discussions will be held on themes like marketing, website development, social media, finance, the ABCs of loans, taking care of personal health, and other important aspects of running a small business successfully.

This will also be an important networking event that will allow attendees to make connections with those who can maybe help grow their business; both guest speakers and other business owners. There will be plenty of time during the day for discussion and to exchange digital Business Cards.

This event is limited to 30 members and women will come from all over, including nearby Norfolk, to attend. Local printing companies may find several new business card printing orders being placed in advance of the conference.
