The 28th annual Virginia Children’s Festival will take place next month in Norfolk, presented by Festevents.
The festival is aimed at children aged 10 and under, but some activities will probably appeal to the entire family.
There will be two stages of entertainment, workshops, and military demonstrations. There are also set to be educational displays such as one by Mad Science of Hampton Roads. There will be guest appearances from several costumed characters, including Clifford the Big Red Dog. All in all, there will be over 100 separate activities.
Activities will be divided up into various stations. The Education Station will provide activities such as making a tiara, a School for Pirates, making paper airplanes, and creating a superhero mask. The Discovery Zone will have a Teddy Bear Tea, Princess Pavilion, and Little Soldiers area. The Friendship Path will feature make-and-take projects and the Young Chef’s Academy. Other areas include the Fun Zone and Toddler Town.
This annual festival tends to be popular in Norfolk. To help spread the word, organizers might distribute advertising Flyers in the area.
The Virginia Children’s Festival will be held at Town Point Park on October 1 from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Tickets are $5 per person. For the latest information about this event, visit the official festival website.
