The Instruments of Art Celebration and Auction is taking place next month in Norfolk. It is a fundraising event for Tidewater Arts Outreach (TAO).
A total of 30 artists have turned musical instruments into works of art to be bid on during live and silent auctions. Among the participating artists for this year are Clayton Singleton, Eric Worden, and Deb Munro.
Guests will enjoy live music from the Jimmy Master Trio while they enjoy Cuban-inspired appetizers and drinks. Salsa dancers will also be entertaining members of the crowd, who will be welcome to dance themselves. The recommended dress for the evening is cocktail attire.
Funds raised from this event will go to the annual Sea Level Singer/Songwriter Festival. The festival presents local and national artists performing in various Norfolk venues and includes an emerging artist contest. It is also the major fundraising event for TAO and helps to fund its many programs in the community.
Those in Norfolk who are interested in the promotion of live music will no doubt wish to attend this fundraiser. To advertise, organizers may invest in flyer printing.
The Instruments of Art Celebration and Auction will be held at Decorum Furniture on February 6 from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Tickets are $45 in advance and $55 at the door. To learn more about the evening's events, contact Tidewater Arts Outreach at 765-965-5155.
