Two festive events return for holidays

The Manassas area is about to get into the holiday spirit with a pair of events.

Bull Run Festival of Lights is a 2.5-mile drive-through featuring lighted displays and fairytale vignettes. This year, the event has been extended three weeks to accommodate everyone and tickets go on sale soon online at Eventbrite.

Annual ornaments and Holiday specs can be purchased at the time of registration. Camel rides, photo ops, and walks through the lights area will be available at Holiday Village.

Tickets run $20 to $25 per vehicle depending on date. Five-dollar discounts are available for entrance to the event on Mondays through Thursdays. Bull Run Festival of Lights will run from November 6 to January 10, 2021 at 7700 Bull Run Drive, Centreville.

The drive will be open from 5:30 pm until 9:30 pm on Monday through Thursday evenings, and 5:30 pm until 10:00 pm on holidays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

Winter Walk of Lights, a half-mile walk, will still take place at the Meadowlark Botanical Gardens in Vienna from November 11 through January 3. Guests can view the dazzling colors of the Fountains of Light, and small light displays created by local artists and Lakeside Lights. Animals and about 100 flowers can be seen in the Garden of Light.

Manassas families often go early in the season and take pictures that can go to Stationery printers to be made into Holiday Cards.
