Two charity events scheduled for Manassas

A couple of charity events are being planned for Manassas during the next few weeks.

The Art of Life Charities is presenting their 2nd “Lift Others Up” Gala toward the end of October. The evening’s Emcee will be Kim B. Miller Poet- Laureate Emerita, and performers will include American Idol finalist and singer/songwriter – Aaron Kelly.

Guests will be treated to hors d’oeuvres, drinks, dinner (choice of Chicken Breast Piccata, Citrus Salmon, or Eggplant Roulade), dessert, speakers, music, and dancing. Art and experiences will be up for bid during the auction.

Tickets are $200, and proceeds from this year’s event will go to the Haymarket Regional Food Pantry which serves families in Manassas, Gainesville, Haymarket, and Bristow.

Sponsorships are available from $500 to $5000. Businesses often donate monetary as well as promotional Corporate Gifts to events such as this.

Lifting Others Up Charity Art Gala will take place this Saturday, October 23rd at the Hylton Performing Arts Center beginning at 6:00 pm.

1111 Wishalicious will be a fundraiser for the Make-A-Wish Greater Virginia with the theme, “Peace, Love, and Kindness.” Entertainment will be offered by Strange Choir from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and Tiny Hands from 8:30 pm to 10:00 pm. A short ½ hour fundraising drive will be held from 8:00 pm to 8:30 pm.

This event will take place from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm at Sinistral Brewing Company, 9419 Mian Street, November 11th.
