Manassas walks for multiple sclerosis

Walk MS, the Manassas version, will take place toward the end of April.

The walk will offer a one-mile and a three-mile option, and both routes are accessible to mobility devices.

Participants are encouraged to raise funds. Points are accessed for every dollar raised and can be used toward rewards such as dress socks or stainless straw sets, with 525 points enough to earn inversion umbrellas, and sherpa blankets available at 1,000 points. Rewards for higher numbers of points include folding chairs, laptop Backpacks, backpack coolers, men’s and women’s Apparel, and Apple AirPods Pros. Raising $100 will earn an official white Walk MS T-shirt sporting the event’s orange and green Logo Design.

Teams, composed of family, friends, co-workers, corporate, or national members, are also encouraged to create colorful commemorative shirts with the team name or graphic design for their members. Shirts ordered through the MS website’s National MS Society Team Shirt Store will get $1 donated back to the team for every shirt ordered.

Th MS Walk organizers especially encourage team participation as about 85% of the race participants are part of teams and bring in 80% of total donations.

In-person participant registration is free and virtual participation is also available.

The in-person MS Walk: Manassas will begin at the Harris Pavilion on Saturday, April 23rd at 10:00 am with the site opening at 9:00 am.
