The 2022 Manassas runway 5K, 10K and 1M, which are a segment of the yearlong Bishop Events, will take place toward the end of April.
The flat course will take runners on the taxiways and runways at the Manassas Regional Airport. Participants will get a close-up view of the aircraft on display.
Registration will be $40 for the 10K or $25 for the 5K, and each will go up $5 after April 15. Registration will be $20 for the one-mile run. Swag will include technical shirts sporting this year’s Manassas Runway’s Race graphic design and finisher medals.
Packets may be picked up and registration can be done at the 10600 Harry J. Parrish Blvd. (Manassas Airport Terminal Building) from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Saturday, April 23. No packet pickup or registration will be available on race day.
This race is part of the Bishop’s Events, a series of high-quality races benefiting national and local charities. A quarter of the profits from this race will go to the Bull Run Rotary Club.
Participants and series winners accumulate points toward a yearly total. Series winners receive cash prizes and certain number for races completed have specific prizes. Those runners completing 25 races receive a lunch invitation to the event’s January lunch and lightweight running jackets. Other perks are awarded for participation in 30, 35, 50, 75, and 100 races.
Races will begin at 8:00 am on April 24.
