Manassas runs the runway

Many local runners will be heading for the 2023 Manassas Runway 5k, 10k, and One Mile coming to Manassas Regional Airport at the end of April.

Participants will start and finish their races at the main terminal’s taxiway using the ultra-flat runway, while the runway right next by will be having planes taking off and landing. Runners can enjoy viewing the vintage and modern aircraft on display near the terminal as they run.

Water stations will be available at 1.8, 3.2, 4.7, and 5.65 miles along the 10k course. The one water station on the 5k course will be at the 1.8-mile marker.

Registration is $25 for the One Mile, $35 for the 5k, and $45 for the 10k. After April 15, registration for the 5K and 10K will go up $5.

Swag will include finisher medals, chip timing, and red technical Drifit T-Shirts featuring the event’s airplane graphic design.

Awards will go to the top three overall women and men finishers at the post-race ceremony, as well as to the first female and male finishers in seven age categories.

Participates can collect their race packets at Manassas Airport Terminal Building, 10600 Harry J Parrish Boulevard, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Saturday, April 29. There will be no packet pickup or registration on race day.

The 2023 Manassas Runway 5k, 10k, and One Mile will be Sunday, April 30 from 8:00 am to 9:30 am.
